Note: Most model photos and all early interviews & articles were lost in a Paris storage in the ‘70s. "I was born and grew up in Lapland, Finland. Growing up, my great loves were nature adventures, books, music and making clothing. I was unusually free, independent, adventurous and a self-starter from a very young age. I worked as a local fashion model at age 15 and one year later, I answered a Helsinki newspaper ad seeking for a teen model. Soon I was working in France at the Paris Pret-a-Porter fashion week on my school holiday. The following year I was 'discovered' to act in a Max Factor Avocado Shampoo TV commercial shot in Mallorca, Spain, and after that, the world........" Hover thumbnails to read captions.
